Hi guys, good to be back.
It seems that al got lost so I have to start from the beginning again (like all of you I presume )
Kitty here from the Netherlands.
My first love was the dollhouse my granddad made when I was four but it got lost when we moved to another city (shame on you mom)
I bought my second dolhouse when I was 23 after I saw a dollhouse in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. I wanted to make an interior that represented the era that I lived in.
It was a fun dollhouse but was bannished to the attic when we got children and I didn't want them to ruin my beautiful modern miniatures.
And so, after collecting a lot of dust, I gave it away to a charityshop. Not knowing that one year later a picture on Pinterest would trigger my interest to start making miniatures of my own.
And then I found out that my dollhouse was a Hanse and that I had collected several Lundby pieces of furniture from the 80s! All gone to waste.
I can go on for hours but can tell you that I have at least 12 dollhouses in my possesion now. And that all lost furniture is bought back. Twice. At least 😱
I prefer modern houses or at least modern decorated houses.
And I have a very weak spot for former GDR houses around the 60s that I love to restore in their original form.
I can't wait to see all the familiar faces here that I issed so much after the old site closed.
Is there anyone who remembers me?
