Thanks so much! I'm glad to know about the terrible hallway paper. Now I'm thinking much of what I scraped off may have been original! Oh well, it was in bad shape.

Topic title: Help me date my Stockbroker!
I'm restoring a Stockbroker I rescued from a terrible flea market several years ago. I'm trying to date it now. I have Marion Osborne's book and disc, but I'm not making much progress. No original paper to help. The lights are on the back walls and it came with an original range (so lucky!). The windows I have are green and white. I've posted an album called Texas Stockbroker under the Lines Bros. (Triang) category. Also included a photo of the tag on the bag. Hoping someone can give me a clue about the date.
Ok, I think I've done this correctly. I created an album called Texas Stockbroker and filed it under Lines Tri-Ang, so you can see my house. Just trying to date it now. Any ideas? The lights are on the back wall and I've included a photo of the label. I think it's in good condition, really. I was worried there was rot in and around the staircase, but some sanding & cleaning has done wonders. Looking for 3 windows and a chimney now. I was lucky to find some Queen Anne Triang furniture from Dale Robertson. The Barton pieces are easier to find here in the states, so I just grab what I can when I see it. The bathroom furniture and kitchen table and chairs is American Strombecker.
I'm really wanting to use William Morris wallpaper, even though I know reproductions of Lines Bros. are available. I think it would be lovely with the Tudor style.

I'm a new member from Austin, TX. My thing is rescuing orphaned homes from garages and flea markets. I was lucky enough to find a beautiful Stockbroker several years back. I'm currently stripping a bad outside paint job and awful wallpaper, but hope to start painting & papering soon. Looking forward to help with parts (windows!!!) and any advice or wisdom. Such a fun site!
