Here,  Kathleen Geek was struggling to bring up her two daughters without the assistance of her ex-husband, then there was the Spiv and his disagreeable family, and he really didn't know - or care who was in the third. He doubted that many of the villagers had ever visited this God forsaken corner, but he knew Mrs Geek worked at the big house, "Goddard's" so she set off to the "posh end" every day.
