View Album: Rosemary's coffers
Rosemary says: "At last I have the German model coffer and the Elgin one to compare. The main difference - apart from chamfered lid and cuts in the top - is in the way they open. Elgin has hinges, the cut made to accommodate them. The German has nails and a long rod and the base is different too, as the back comes all the way down. So really it is easy to spot the difference in many ways. Notice also the warmer colour of wood in the Elgin one." In this photo, top: Elgin, bottom: German.
