Welcome to the final issue of the magazine for 2013, our biggest issue yet! This issue has a strong focus on the unique creations of members, and of a pioneering miniaturist in the UK in the 1950s. As well as DIY articles, several members tell us about their practices and the products of their imagination and skills.
Other members have come together to collaboratively research manufacturers of dolls houses and dolls house furniture, one in Germany and one in the US. We learn about their initial findings and their plans for the research.
I continue the series on Hobbies of Dereham designs, with the furniture and fittings available up until the end of World War II. Next year, I plan to move into the post-war period.
For anyone who has thought about setting up a dolls house museum, the next instalment in the saga of Gil Bomber's adventures in moving her collection from England to the Czech Republic and the construction and organisation that followed will give much food for thought!
After my plea for stories from members in parts of the world we had not heard from yet, I was delighted when a member in Argentina responded with a glimpse of her collection, all found within her country! I look forward to hearing from members in other countries, too.
There's plenty more, including of course the giveaway competition for members. I hope you'll find time to relax and enjoy this issue over the holiday period.
I wish you all a safe, happy and healthy Christmas and New Year - with sufficient wealth to enjoy the many aspects of our wonderful hobby!
